We're looking for talented Diesel Technician to join our high‐performing Darwin team. This full‐time role covers both field service and workshop-based repairs, offering strong earning potential, training, and development.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Carry out repairs, maintenance, and rebuilds on heavy diesel engines and related components
Diagnose faults using specialised tools, technical publications, and electronic service software
Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble engines/components to required standards
Complete preventative maintenance and field service work as scheduled
Validate repairs and ensure issues are fully resolved before close-out
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area, tools, and service vehicle
Complete all documentation including service reports, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality forms
Identify further service opportunities with customers
Escalate unresolved technical issues to senior technicians or supervisors
Adhere to all Health, Safety & Environmental procedures and report incidents promptly
Support workshop repairs when required
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Cert III Diesel Mechanic (Apprentice Trained Engine Technician) or equivalent
Intermediate workshop or field service experience
Heavy vehicle experience (preferred)
HR licence (preferred)
Cummins and/or Power Generation mechanical experience (advantageous but not essential)
Ability to interpret diagnostic results, service procedures, and technical publications
Strong attention to safety, documentation accuracy, and quality standards
Valid local driver's licence
Compensation and Benefits
Full-time role, 38 hours per week
Overtime available with penalty rates for all hours above 38
On-call roster (1 week per month) for field service
Remote Area Travel Required
All PPE and uniforms supplied and laundered
Domestic relocation available for the right candidate
