About the role
SOUMAH of Yarra Valley are seeking an experienced Pizza Chef to join their team in Gruyere, VIC 3770. This full-time role will see you working with a wood-fired oven to create delicious, artisanal pizzas and other dishes for our guests in our stunning, popular venue.
What you'll be doing
1. Preparing and cooking pizza dough, sauces, and toppings to the highest standards
2. Expertly operating the wood-fired pizza oven to achieve the perfect crisp base and toppings as well as other dishes
3. Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests and a great relationship with the service team.
4. Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
5. Assisting with kitchen operations as needed
What we're looking for
1. Several years of experience as a Pizza Chef, preferably in a high-quality restaurant.
2. Proven expertise in using a wood-fired pizza oven to produce consistently excellent results
3. Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious, authentic pizzas
4. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
5. A team player attitude and a willingness to assist with other kitchen duties as required and ability to work weekends.
