Overview
* Deliver expert advice on environmental assessment, planning, and approvals.
* Lead and guide environmental actions and initiatives under Special Activation Precinct Masterplans and Delivery Plans.
* Advocate for strong environmental outcomes for Regional NSW
About The Role
As a Senior Environmental Planner, you will provide high-level technical and strategic environmental advice across planning, assessment, and approvals. You will be guiding environmental initiatives within the delivery of transformative Masterplans and Delivery Plans for regional NSW.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and advocate for strong environmental performance across projects and policies.
* Provide expert guidance on biodiversity, natural resource management, and environmental compliance.
* Advise on evolving environmental legislation, risks, and opportunities.
* Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to embed practical environmental solutions.
* Manage consultants and review environmental studies and impact assessments.
* Shape environmental strategies to contribute to and support delivery of RGDC's goals.
What We're Looking For
You bring a deep understanding of NSW planning and environmental legislation, complemented by a talent for turning environmental risks into practical, innovative opportunities through strong collaboration.
Essential Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry experience in environmental planning, environmental science, biodiversity assessment, project management, or a related field.
* Current Australian Driver's Licence and the ability and willingness to travel within regional NSW when required.
