Professionals in this role play a vital part in delivering precise and timely taxation services to our clients while ensuring our systems and processes remain compliant and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and review tax returns, activity statements, and tax provision calculations for superannuation funds. Maintain accurate records to support these tasks.
* Collaborate with the Tax Manager in implementing legislative changes, drafting policies, and providing tax technical advice. Contribute to enhancing internal tax models and documentation to improve process efficiency.
* Support internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients and tax advisors, through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
* Contribute to tax-related projects, client onboarding, and respond to ATO queries and audits in a professional manner.
Qualifications and Skills
* A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in taxation, ideally with exposure to superannuation or custody.
* Strong understanding of tax law and regulatory frameworks affecting super funds.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
* CA/CPA qualification or close to completion and registered tax agent status.
* Ability to use Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new systems.
