 
        
        Role Description:
Our business partners with schools to deliver high-quality ICT services that support digital learning. We are seeking an experienced School Technical Officer to join our team. In this role, you will provide on-site and remote ICT support across school environments, ensuring the smooth operation of devices, equipment, and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Device & Equipment Management
 * Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, photocopiers, audiovisual equipment, interactive panels, CCTV systems, and mobile Point of Sale (mPOS) devices.
 * Conduct operating system installations and coordinate repairs, including managing warranty and non-warranty processes.
 * Troubleshoot issues via face-to-face, phone, and email support.
 * Log incidents through our internal request management system and liaise with vendor support teams.
 * Administer ICT assets and licenses and manage the decommissioning of outdated equipment.
General IT Support:
 * Respond promptly to IT Help Desk and school-based support requests.
 * Provide clear communication and technical advice to teachers, staff, and internal teams.
 * Deliver regular and ad hoc reporting on requests, including progress and status updates.
 * Offer advice on efficiency and optimisation of ICT environments, aligned with business and departmental ICT policies.
Network and Server Monitoring:
 * Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, escalating as needed to central or vendor support.
 * Manage server backups and data patching activities where required.
 * Perform basic server management and license administration for non-primary servers.
 * Assist with diagnosing and escalating server performance issues.
Candidate Levels:
We welcome applicants with varying levels of experience:
 * Level 1 (Entry): Less than 5 years' experience, currently studying toward relevant qualifications.
 * Level 2 (Intermediate/Advanced): 2–10 years' experience, holding relevant ICT qualifications or certifications.
 * Level 3 (Senior/Supervisor): 10+ years' experience with advanced ICT qualifications and leadership capacity.

 * Proven experience in ICT support and device management.
 * Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking, and server management.
 * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.
 * Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
 * Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are highly regarded.
 * Familiarity with helpdesk/ticketing systems is an advantage.
