The Pillowcase Program
The Pillowcase Program is a school‐based disaster preparedness program designed to help students aged 8‐10 (years 3 to 4) build their knowledge and capacity in disaster preparedness. We are seeing emergencies occur more frequently and with more severity. This project is part of the broader emergency preparedness, response and recovery programmes of Australian Red Cross.
The opportunity
Becoming a Pillowcase Program Presenter Volunteer means you would be part of a network of volunteers who run one‐hour sessions in schools where children learn about disaster preparedness through an interactive activity centred around decorating a pillowcase.

Application Requirements
For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, organised through Red Cross. The role will also require you to hold or apply for a Working With Children Check or Working With Vulnerable People Check depending on your State/Territory. Red Cross can assist you to apply for this check.
