Director of Nursing Job Description
This leadership role entails overseeing various responsibilities across quality of care, financial administration, general management, environment, and human resources to ensure high standards of care and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
* Quality of Care: Ensure delivery of high standards in nursing and social care, compliance with regulations, staff training, and innovative practices.
* Financial Administration: Manage budgets, monitor financial procedures, and understand funding and fee structures.
* General Management: Conduct team meetings, liaise with community agencies, handle complaints, and promote the home within the community.
* Environment: Implement health and safety policies, ensure hygiene standards, and oversee maintenance and catering quality.
* Human Resources: Participate in staff recruitment, training, and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
Requirements
* Qualified RGN with at least 3 years' recent experience caring for older persons.
* Post-registration management qualification in health or related field.
* Minimum 3 years' management experience in health and social care.
* Registered on the NMBI live register.
* Proven healthcare management track record, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* Financial acumen, team motivation, flexibility, and initiative.
