The Area Manager is accountable for the overall Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management associated with the Infrastructure and General Services scope, and other works as may be assigned. The Area Manager, reporting to the Project Manager prior to construction execution, is responsible for area cost and schedule through the life of the project, from Engineering through commissioning. The Area Manager coordinates with project Functional Managers to support Project goals.
During construction execution, reporting to the Site Manager, the Area Manager is responsible for implementing and monitoring operations are compliant with the projects site rules, ES&H; policies and procedures, quality controls and relevant regulatory standards. This role directs work in the field through all phases of construction, supervises and directs contractors, a subordinate supervision and functional support team, and others as assigned while ensuring construction operations and contractors performance is compliant with specifications, within scheduled and budget.
The Area Manager will liaise directly with an equivalent client Area Manager.
