Credit Controller – Refuel Australia – Geraldton WA

Refuel Australia is a respected distributor of quality Ampol fuels and lubricants throughout the Pilbara, Midwest, Gascoyne, Murchison and Goldfields areas of Western Australia and the Northern Territory from Darwin to Alice Springs. About the role
The Credit Controller reports to the CFO and assists in the management of the credit operations and performance of Refuel Australia's 2000 active customer accounts.
Key tasks
- Meet established 14 and 21 day and month overdue credit targets.
- Negotiate payment terms whilst building and maintaining client relationships.
- Import and allocate debtor payments via bank statements, receipts and allocate manual receipts on a daily basis.
- Report monthly to credit insurance.
- Establish and maintain current insurance endorsements.
- Daily and monthly direct debit on customer accounts.
- Assess new credit applications, reviewing financial and assessing customer references.
Qualifications and skills
- Experience working in credit control management, collections or accounts receivable position.
- A qualification in credit management, accounting, business or similar is desirable.
- Sound understanding of legal requirements and processes in the provision of credit and debt recovery advantageous.
- Ability to prioritise, set and achieve goals.
- Great attention to detail.
- High level numeracy skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a courteous and professional attitude.
- High level professionalism when communicating with customers, management and colleagues.
