About the role

The Credit Controller reports to the CFO and assists in the management of the credit operations and performance of Refuel Australia's 2000 active customer accounts.

Key tasks

• Meet established 14 and 21 day and month overdue credit targets.
• Negotiate payment terms whilst building and maintaining client relationships.
• Import and allocate debtor payments via bank statements, receipts and allocate manual receipts on a daily basis.
• Report monthly to credit insurance.
• Establish and maintain current insurance endorsements.
• Daily and monthly direct debit on customer accounts.
• Assess new credit applications, reviewing financial and assessing customer references.

Qualifications and skills

• Experience working in credit control management, collections or accounts receivable position.
• A qualification in credit management, accounting, business or similar is desirable.
• Sound understanding of legal requirements and processes in the provision of credit and debt recovery advantageous.
• Ability to prioritise, set and achieve goals.
• Great attention to detail.
• High level numeracy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a courteous and professional attitude.
• High level professionalism when communicating with customers, management and colleagues.
