Job Description:
The successful candidate will work with the Accountant and Finance Business Partner to manage financial accounting, reporting, and internal controls.
Key responsibilities include preparing revenue budget estimates, closing accounts monthly and quarterly, monitoring expenses, and preparing grant claims and statistical returns.
The role also involves managing income billing, tracking payments, and overseeing cash flow processes.
Additionally, the candidate will oversee purchase requisitions, PO generation, and invoice processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of general ledger transactions.
They will also manage banking arrangements, including reconciliations and cash flow forecasting, and assist with VAT account reconciliations and monthly VAT returns.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* AAT Level 2 or equivalent in accounting with ongoing professional development.
* Experience and understanding of accounting functions.
* Technical competence and computer skills, including Word and Excel.
* Ability to produce high-quality work and maintain good working papers.
* Self-motivation and willingness to learn.
* Good time management and interpersonal skills.

Person Specifications:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with experience in project or team environments and excellent communication skills.
