We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Engineering Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety of our operations and employees.

* You will be responsible for assessing and mitigating potential risks and hazards within our facilities, ensuring that all necessary safety protocols are in place.
* You will work closely with our process safety team to develop and implement effective safety management systems, including guidance materials and metrics to strengthen our process safety management system.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, including regulators and colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications
">
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
">
* A tertiary qualification in engineering (chemical, mechanical, or instrumentation and control).
* Functional Safety certifications and a postgraduate qualification in Process Safety Engineering are not essential but will be valued.
* Solid experience in operational environments, preferably in brownfields, chemical processing, or fixed plant settings.
* Familiarity with Dangerous Goods and Major Hazard Facilities legislation is a plus.
* Demonstrated mastery or substantive experience in managing Functional Safety Management, and Safety in Design.
* Experience in managing risk through process control solutions.
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills, enabling you to connect with various stakeholders.
* A proven track record of leading multi-discipline teams.
* A structured thinker with a keen eye for detail.
