Overview
Salamanca Whisky Bar is a busy bar, known as a hidden gem and has established itself in showcasing Tasmanian whisky and traditional cocktails over many years. We now wish to add a new hospitality skilled to our small intimate venue. High energy levels and attention to detail is key to the success of this position.
The position duties encompass every aspect of the venue's operation, including customer service, cocktail making, cleaning and sharing of Tasmanian whisky knowledge. Our staff take pride in their presentation.
We are a highly capable mature team and known for providing exceptional quality drinks in a fast paced busy environment. We admit we are a bit different to most other bars, higher wages, close at midnight, provide table service to seated guests.
We have day shifts and night shifts.
Whisky is definitely our thing, we create an atmosphere every night of the week that is inviting and truly representative of a sophisticated whisky venue and every detail is considered.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a welcoming bar environment.
- Prepare and serve cocktails with accuracy and attention to presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, equipment, and glassware.
- Share Tasmanian whisky knowledge with guests to enhance the experience.
- Represent the venue's high standards in personal presentation and grooming.
- Support the team to operate efficiently in a fast-paced service period.

- Impeccable personal presentation, representative of a high-caliber cocktail bar;
- A passion to make and deliver guests the best cocktails;
- A history of a harmonious and respectful work attitude towards all employees at all levels;
- An interest in whisky and ability to immediately step up the pace during a busy service period.
