Dermatology Veterinary Nurse - Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre
The Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre (MVSC) is a multi-disciplinary specialist veterinary centre providing services from three locations to veterinary practices within Melbourne.
The dermatology department is seeking a veterinary nurse to provide high quality patient care and assist the specialist veterinarians in various tasks. The position requires a high level and quality of nursing skills and experience coupled with the ability to learn new skills quickly and work within a fast-paced environment. The veterinary dermatology nurse will also communicate closely with clients, providing outstanding customer service and assist the dermatologist in various specialist consultations and procedures throughout the day.

* Immediate start
* Full time or Part time position – on a 12-month contract (with the possibility of permanent employment)
* No weekend rosters, 4 day working week for FT or negotiable PT
* Working at our Glen Waverley and Essendon Fields locations
* This is a full-time position or part-time position on a 12-month contract working 4 x10 hour days per week for FT, with a rostered day off or negotiated days PT
There is a requirement to work at our Glen Waverley and Essendon Fields locations but there may be some degree of flexibility dependent on candidates' locations.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
* Intradermal testing for allergies
* Assisting with ear flushes, biopsies, laser surgery, MRI, hearing tests
* Assisting with consultations and discharges
* Client phone calls, emails and follow up
This role would be ideal for a veterinary nurse who is highly motivated, can focus well, has good client and staff relationship skills, works well in a highly skilled team and has experience working in a busy department environment.

Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent appropriate tertiary qualification is preferred
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in general practice required
