We are currently seeking Assistants in Nursing to submit their Expression of Interest for future temporary positions within Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
The Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service Nursing and Midwifery Staffing Unit is looking for Assistants in Nursing to join our team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in various clinical practice areas.
As an Assistant in Nursing, you'll support the Nurse/Midwifery Unit Manager and clinical team in delivering top-quality patient care.
You will:
Provide support functions within units or other non-clinical units
Be allocated to clinical areas within their scope of practice
Possess a high level of adaptability in working in a variety of clinical settings
Participate in clinical handover
Liaise with the Registered Nurse regarding specific activities and outcomes
About you:
To be successful in this position you will require:
While not mandatory, a Certificate III or above (including undergraduate enrolment first year only) in health-related studies would be well regarded
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Blue card / Working with children check (GCH will cover cost)
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
