Concrete Labourer | Local Government | North Sydney
Complete Staff Solutions are seeking a reliable and physically fit Concrete Labourer to join a local government team working across the North Sydney area. The role involves maintenance and construction of curbs, gutters and footpaths.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out general labouring tasks including concreting, paving, asphalting and drainage work
* Prepare sites for concrete works (set levels, formwork, mix materials)
* Place, level and finish concrete to required standards
* Lay and compact base materials
* Cut and install reinforcing steel
* Excavate sites, remove old concrete/asphalt and clear work areas
* Follow traffic control procedures to maintain a safe work zone
* Read and follow basic construction drawings
Requirements
* Car licence – mandatory (MR or HR highly desirable)
* White Card
* Experience in civil or concrete labouring (concreting, paving, asphalting)
* Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans
* Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
* Strong understanding of WHS practices
* Good communication skills and ability to work with a team
* Able to interact professionally with the public
