We are an Australian company which is recognised internationally as one of the leaders in the design, manufacture and supply of Rail Flaw Detection Systems.
With our head office in Lynbrook, Melbourne and Clients located around the world, we are looking for an experienced Electronics Technician to join and complement our electronics engineering team.
You will be reporting to the Electronics Engineering Manager, and assist in a wide range of electronics duties including:
* Electronics/electrical fit out of specialised rail testing vehicle
* Wiring and cable terminations
* Test electronic assemblies at board, module and system level
* Fault diagnostics to component level
* Follow schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs and assembly instructions
* Perform hand soldering, rework and component replacement
* Assemble electronic circuits using through-hole and surface-mount components
Required Experience and Competencies:
* Comprehensive electronics knowledge and experience (Minimum 5 years)
* High level of analytical skills (including component level diagnostics & repairs)
* Expertise in the construction and installation of wiring looms
* Experience using test equipment including Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Multimeters etc
* Sound computer skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Reasonable mechanical skills
* Tertiary Qualified
Advantageous:
* PLC installation and programming skills
* Electrical CAD experience (Altium Designer)
* Automotive wiring/electrical knowledge or experience
