The Bar Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for the smooth da-to-day operation of the Club's bar. Reporting to the Front of House Manager, the role oversees bar service during trading periods, ensuring fast, accurate and consistent delivery across counter service, dispense operations and cocktails. The Bar Supervisor provides direction and support to the bar team on shift, upholds service and presentation standards, and ensures key operational basics are maintained, including quality control and stock rotation, to deliver a professional and welcoming experience for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
* Supervise and motivate bar staff to deliver excellent member and guest experiences
* Foster a positive and professional team culture aligned with the Club's values
* Communicate effectively with the kitchen, events, and management teams to ensure seamless service delivery
* General bartending, delivering efficient over-the-counter and dispense service with accuracy and consistency
* Cocktail development and service, including crafting high-quality classics and signature creations
* Front of house customer service, providing a welcoming, professional first point of contact for guests
* Leading bar operations on shift, overseeing, quality, stock rotation, and smooth service execution
Customer Experience
* Build strong relationships with members, guests, and regular visitors through attentive and personable service
* Handle feedback or issues professionally and promptly
* Promote a warm, welcoming, and polished atmosphere within the restaurant and bar
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospitality supervisory role, preferably within a club, resort, or restaurant environment
* Strong knowledge of both bar and food service operations
* Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (Victoria)
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
* Strong understanding of service standards, product presentation and customer engagement
* Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as requested
