Art Academica is a place where kids don't get told "stay inside the lines." They get asked questions. They experiment. They mess up. They grow.
We're looking for an Art Mentor who wants to teach because it actually matters — someone who sees art as a way to help young people slow down, focus, and feel more confident in who they are.
What you'll do
You'll run small art classes for kids aged 5-9 and 9–14. You'll guide them through drawing, painting, illustration, and mixed media, but more importantly, you'll help them trust their ideas and enjoy the process. Lesson plans provided.
Lessons are structured, but there's room to breathe. You're not performing — you're connecting.
Who you are
You're creative, kind, and emotionally switched on. You're comfortable around kids and teens and know how to hold a space without being intense. You don't need to be loud to lead.
You need to be a practicing artist, illustrator, designer, or recent art grad who wants a job that feels real, not draining.
This role is for you if you:

* Can explain things simply and calmly
* Show up on time and take responsibility
* Want meaningful work alongside your art practice

* Contractor role (Australian ABN required)
* Working With Children Check (Victoria)
