We are currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Desktop Support Officer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for providing technical support to our organisation's end-users, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
**Responsibilities**:
- Respond to service requests in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of support activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues, including network connectivity problems
- Assist with the setup and deployment of new hardware and software as needed
- Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate resources and follow up to ensure timely resolution
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order and that backups are performed regularly
- Communicate technical information to non-technical end-users in a clear and concise manner
- Follow established policies and procedures for resolving technical issues
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a service desk or technical support role
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with hardware and software installations
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as needed
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
