Health and Fitness Professional
We are seeking a skilled Health and Fitness Professional to join our team. As a key member of our Leisure and Aquatic Services team, you will play a critical role in promoting health and wellbeing across our diverse community.
About the Role
This dynamic position involves leading and supporting members in their health and fitness journey, delivering Group Fitness classes, individual and group training sessions, and contributing to high standards of our leisure facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Deliver Group Fitness classes and group training sessions, fitness assessments and personalized programs.
* Engage with members and encourage ongoing participation in health and fitness services.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and equipment functionality across gym spaces.
* Prepare and pack up class and session equipment, ensuring safe and clean use.
* Provide support to patrons and assist in supervision of the health club area.
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation, including pre-exercise questionnaires.
* Work collaboratively with the Leisure and Aquatics team to meet service objectives.
* Report hazards or incidents and ensure safety and compliance with Council procedures.
Requirements
* Certificate III in Fitness (minimum qualification).
* Current CPR and Senior First Aid Certificates.
* Working with Children Check.
* Fitness Australia Registration (or equivalent).
* Demonstrated experience in customer-focused fitness delivery, including Group Fitness, Aqua classes and Yoga and Pilates.
* Ability to work independently, show initiative, and respond to changing work environments.
* Understanding of relevant regulations and standards for leisure and fitness facilities.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
