Position: Chef Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $76,****** plus superannuation per annum Location: Balmain NSW **** Our client is seeking an experienced Chef to join their team to work and will be responsible for the preparation, cooking and presentation of high-quality meals in accordance with the restaurant's established menu, quality standards and service expectations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in developing menu offerings, forecasting ingredient usage, managing kitchen resourcing requirements and arranging the purchase of produce and supplies.
Ensure food quality is maintained from initial preparation through to final plating and service.
Communicate with management, health professionals where required, and both kitchen and front-of-house teams to address food preparation or service-related matters.
Provide guidance and hands-on instruction to kitchen staff on preparation methods and cooking techniques.
Prepare, cook and present meals in accordance with established recipes and service standards.
Apply and supervise compliance with food safety, cleanliness and sanitation requirements at all times.
Ensuring all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Participate in the recruitment, onboarding and skills development of kitchen team members when necessary.
Store and preserve ingredients appropriately, including the use of refrigeration or freezing to maintain freshness and minimise waste.
Requirements: Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality Management A minimum of at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
