We are seeking a Civil Designer to join our Civil Engineering team. This is a key role for an experienced designer ready to take ownership of drafting and design delivery, support project teams, and contribute to the continued growth and reputation of EDGE as a high-performance boutique consultancy.

About the Role
Due to ongoing growth, EDGE Consulting Engineers will be looking for a Civil Designer to join our team in the following few months. Therefore, this is an expressions of interest.
As a Civil Designer, you will provide design and drafting support across all phases of project delivery, working closely with Engineers and other Designers to deliver high-quality documentation within agreed timeframes and budgets.
This role suits a designer who is detail-focused, organised, technically capable, and ready to take ownership of project outputs.

Key Responsibilities
* Consult across all phases of project delivery from schematic design through to completion
* Undertake detailed civil engineering design and documentation
* Prepare Development Approval reporting packages
* Complete site assessment and planning support
* Plan and manage CAD documentation of design work
* Coordinate with survey, architectural, and external consultants
* Ensure project work is delivered within agreed deadlines and budget
* Keep senior staff informed of key service and design decisions
* Attend meetings and site inspections as required
* Maintain record copies and current folders to ensure accurate project information
* Utilise EDGE Civil Standard Details across all projects
* Produce clear, concise civil documentation in line with EDGE QA processes
* Take ownership of drafting deliverables and assigned projects
* Respond to requests from Lead Civil Designers and Engineers in a timely manner

About You

Key Capability Requirements
* Typically 3+ years civil design and drafting experience (intermediate to senior level)
* Civil Engineering Degree or Diploma (desirable)
* Strong competency in AutoCAD and 12d
* Experience modelling earthworks surfaces and volume calculations
* Proven experience designing and documenting civil infrastructure for urban subdivisions
* Strong knowledge of relevant local standards and design requirements
