Your new role
The Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Service supports SAPOL's frontline policing and corporate operations through ICT infrastructure, communication platforms, operational software, and support services. The Service drives the evolution of ICT capabilities via high-quality change programs, structured into four pillars: Strategy, Innovation and Engagement; Program Delivery; Operational Services; and Security and Assurance. Program Delivery manages a large portfolio of projects, including infrastructure, business systems, and digital transformation initiatives.
The IS&T Project Manager is responsible for managing large, complex IT solutions and projects, providing leadership to project teams, and building relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, and suppliers.
What you'll need to succeed
Extensive experience managing ICT projects, especially large and complex ones involving significant business change
Proven skills in project management, including scheduling, resource management, scope, risks, issues, budgets, and quality assurance
Experience with PRINCE2 or similar methodologies
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Leadership in resource management, staff guidance, and stakeholder conflict resolution
Knowledge of BPR, app development, QA processes, and SDLC tools and techniques
Special Conditions
Must hold current Australian work eligibility and pass a criminal history check
May be assigned other duties at the same remuneration level
Some out-of-hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required
Participation in SAPOL's iEngage program is required.
