Lead Building Surveyor Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Building Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of building surveyors, overseeing complex projects, and ensuring compliance with relevant Victorian building control legislation codes and standards.
* You will be required to carry out duties, functions, and responsibilities of the Municipal Building Surveyor under and in accordance with relevant instruments of delegation.
* As a key member of our team, you will provide efficient, effective, cooperative, and professional support to the Municipal Building Surveyor.
* You will lead and mentor a team of building surveyors, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and timely project completion.

Main Responsibilities
* You will assist with or prepare Council reports or other building control related reports.
* You will represent and provide expert witness evidence in Building Appeals Board and Court proceedings.
* You will attend to building control enquiries, investigations, and Emergency Callouts in accordance with relevant building control legislation, rosters, and policies.
* You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
* You will liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities to address building-related issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
