Main Responsibilities
* Food Preparation and Presentation: Oversee food preparation and presentation across multiple kitchens to ensure consistency and quality.
* Stock Management and Optimization: Manage stock levels and optimize service areas to maintain profitability.
* Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor and guide junior kitchen staff to develop their skills and confidence.
* Menu Design and Promotions: Contribute to menu design and implement special promotions to attract customers.
* Quality and Profitability: Ensure quality, profitability, and industry reputation are upheld at all times.
* Industry Trends and Environment: Stay updated on industry trends and foster a cohesive kitchen environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
* Cost Control Initiatives: Support cost control initiatives to maintain profitability and reduce waste.
Requirements
* A skilled Chef De Partie with experience in a hotel environment is highly desirable.
* Proven ability to manage staffing needs, plan and delegate tasks, and motivate the team to meet daily objectives.
* Comprehensive knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP, and workplace health and safety (WH&S).
* Positive attitude towards the industry and a strong understanding of menu items and seasonal ingredients.
* Willingness to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
