Animal Care Specialist
Bring our live exhibits to life as an Animal Care Specialist at a leading museum. This role involves daily husbandry and care of a diverse living collection, including insects, arachnids, reptiles, birds, and other animals.
Duties will involve hands-on animal care, monitoring health and behaviour, preparing diets, cleaning enclosures, and keeping meticulous records. You will also tend to planted displays, creating habitats that are as enriching as they are eye-catching.
* Undertake daily animal husbandry and plant maintenance duties as directed to ensure the health and quality display of all live exhibits.
* Collect husbandry data and communicate pertinent information with other live exhibits staff verbally and through written records, lab diary, labels and email.
* In association with other staff, assist in delivering public programs involving live animals and exhibits.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of exhibitions and programmes involving live animals.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
