We are seeking a Technology Officer to join our dynamic support team for a 3-month engagement, commencing in September. As a Technology Officer (Level 1 & 2 Support), you will play a vital role in providing desktop and helpdesk support in addition to an office move of over 700 staff.
**Key Duties**:
- Provide level 1 & level 2 support (Help desk and desktop support) to our client base
- Monitor and process routine incoming help desk requests, ensuring professional management, adherence to timeframes, and effective follow-up actions
- Troubleshoot technical issues and execute remediation measures
- Collaborate with third-level teams to escalate incidents or gather technical insights
- Maintain and update documentation, including knowledge base and asset register
- Progress IT requests such as hardware imaging and software installations
- Offer level 1 and level 2 support for IT initiatives driven by the department
- Actively participate in team meetings to contribute to collective goals
**Skills and Competencies**:
**Mandatory Skills and Experience**:
- Profound knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Experience in supporting an enterprise environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365
- Expertise in desktop devices, including PC's, laptops, tablets, and smartphones
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware faults
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing technical and hardware issues
- Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette
- Understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, change, and problem management
- Experience in managing Active Directory objects
- Proficiency in working with an ITSM platform such as ServiceNow
**Highly Desirable Skills and Experience**:
- Knowledge or experience with products such as Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM), Virtual Desktops, SharePoint, Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools, and scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell)
**Desirable Certifications**:
Any relevant IT certification would be highly desirable and advantageous
