About the role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our Corporate Head Office team in Perth, WA. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller and supporting the CFO, this role is pivotal in overseeing the financial stewardship of the business.
You will provide key strategic insights that influence decision-making while ensuring robust financial management across planning, reporting, compliance, and cost control.
Key responsibilities include:
* Financial Planning & Analysis – develop and maintain financial models, analyse performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.
* Financial Reporting – prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and deliver clear variance analysis.
* Budgeting & Forecasting – partner with department heads to build budgets, prepare forecasts, and monitor performance against targets.
* Cost Accounting – track and analyse costs for raw materials, labour, and overheads; maintain BOM and cost sheets; conduct variance analysis.
* Inventory Management – monitor and reconcile inventory records, support cycle counts and year-end stocktakes, and ensure correct accounting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
* AP/AR Oversight – lead the transactional processing team, driving process improvement and efficiency gains.
* Cost Control & Efficiency – analyse operating costs, identify areas for reduction, and ensure compliance with expense policies.
* Team Leadership – manage, mentor, and develop the finance team.
About you
We're looking for someone who is motivated, adaptable, and ready to lead. This role will suit either:
* An experienced Finance Manager seeking a new challenge, or
* A Senior Accountant / Financial Accountant with proven leadership experience who is looking for the next step in their career.
In order to succeed in this role, you will bring:
* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar.
* CA or CPA qualification.
* Experience in food manufacturing or consumer goods (preferred, not essential).
* Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of building and developing teams.
* Excellent understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and analysis techniques.
* Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
* Strong IT skills – advanced Excel, ERP systems (Pronto desirable), and BI tools (Power BI desirable).
* The ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
