About the Role
You'll drive new business opportunities for APMG Painting, building long-term client relationships across Victoria. If you thrive on creating opportunities and closing deals, you'll excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively hunt, identify and secure predominantly new commercial business opportunities across your territory, driving new revenue through a mix of face-to-face meetings and proactive outreach.
* Generate a consistent pipeline through networking, referrals and targeted market engagement.
* Engage prospective clients to understand their needs and present tailored, value‐driven solutions.
* Prepare compelling proposals and deliver confident, professional presentations.
* Negotiate and close deals while consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Own your sales pipeline end‐to‐end, from prospecting and follow‐up through to conversion and long‐term relationships.
* Grow revenue with existing clients while continuously opening new accounts.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless handovers and a strong customer experience.
Required Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated 5+ years' experience in business development, sales or new business acquisition.
* A strong hunter mindset with proven ability to convert opportunities and close deals.
* Confident and credible communicator with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
* Comfortable working autonomously in a fast‐paced, field‐based sales environment.
* Exposure to commercial painting or painting‐related environments is considered an advantage.
