Contracts Administrator / ManagerCivil Infrastructure | Mining & Telecommunications Projects | Western AustraliaAn opportunity is available for an experienced Contracts Administrator or Manager to join a growing infrastructure contractor delivering telecommunications and civil projects across Western Australia. Working closely with Project Managers, you will play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual performance of projects, ensuring costs, contracts and variations are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to work on major infrastructure projects in remote and mining environments while developing your career within a high-performing commercial team.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting the commercial management of civil construction projects, ensuring contractual obligations, project budgets and financial outcomes are achieved.
* Partner with Project Managers to manage the commercial aspects of projects
* Review contract documentation during tender stages, identifying commercial risks and opportunities
* Assess, price and manage variations and change orders
* Prepare and submit progress claims and payment schedules
* Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts and financial performance
* Manage subcontractor claims and contract negotiations
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers on contractual matters
* Maintain accurate contract records and documentation
* Assist with commercial reporting and project forecasting
* Support continuous improvement across commercial systems and processes
About You
We are seeking a commercially focused professional with experience in contract administration or quantity surveying within construction or infrastructure environments.
* 3-5 years' experience in Contracts Administration or Quantity Surveying
* Experience working on civil construction, telecommunications, infrastructure or mining projects
* Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial principles and cost control
* Experience managing variations, claims, subcontractor packages and commercial negotiations
* Exposure to design and construct (D&C) projects
* Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and project reporting tools
* Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and site personnel
Qualifications
* Bachelor\'s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Management or similar
* Knowledge of Australian contract forms such as AS4000 or AS2124
* Current Driver\'s Licence
* Willingness to travel to project sites when required
