About the role
KAS Tax & Business Solutions is seeking a Office Manager a to join our team in Varsity Lakes, QLD. The positions is full-time position where you will play a vital role in supporting the team and managing clients.
What you'll be doing
* Overseeing the smooth functioning of the office, maintaining a clean and organised workplace.
* Office support including answering phones, managing calendars and scheduling appointments.
* Maintenance and updating of electronic filing systems and database using Suite Files.
* Handling incoming and outgoing mail, emails and phone calls.
* Managing the ATO correspondence via ATOmate software.
* Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), other regulatory authorities, financial institutions, and brokers regarding tax matters and funding arrangements.
* Managing corporate compliance, including ASIC annual returns and company updates
* Continuously improving office procedures and maintaining accurate digital records
What we're looking for
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure
* A proactive, practical mindset with strong problem-solving ability and “common sense” decision-making
* A confident, self-sufficient worker who can take ownership of tasks with minimal supervision
* Previous experience in an administrative or office support role (accounting firm experience preferred but not essential)
* Experience with ATOmate, Xero Practice Manager, and CAS360 (preferred but not essential)
* Someone seeking a stable, long-term position within a boutique firm, who is comfortable in a hands-on support role rather than a structured career progression pathway
