POSITION MEP Design Engineer LOCATION Private Royal Estate - United Arab Emirates (The client will arrange work visa and relocation if not local) PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The MEP Design Engineer prepares detailed design drawings and coordinated layouts for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems under the direction of MEP Engineers. The role supports the preparation of accurate, buildable, and code-compliant design documentation using AutoCAD and Revit. Working closely with engineers, architects, and consultants, the MEP Design Engineer ensures technical accuracy and alignment with local authority standards and project requirements. QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering Certification in AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP (preferred) Familiarity with UAE authority requirements (DEWA, DM, ADDC, Civil Defense) Vocational training in MEP drafting or design (advantageous) EXPERIENCE 3-5 years' experience as an MEP Designer in building services within the UAE or GCC Proven experience preparing HVAC, plumbing, drainage, electrical, and fire protection drawings Exposure to design coordination and BIM modelling (Revit preferred) Experience with submissions to UAE authorities (advantageous) KEY SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE Mechanical (HVAC) Skilled in preparing HVAC layouts including ductwork, ventilation, and equipment placement Understanding of ASHRAE standards, load calculations (HAP or equivalent), and airflow design Ability to coordinate HVAC layouts with architectural and structural drawings Plumbing & Drainage Knowledge of water supply, drainage, and sewage systems Experience in preparing plumbing schematics and layouts compliant with Dubai Municipality codes Understanding of hot/cold water distribution, water tank sizing, and pump arrangements Fire Protection Proficient in preparing fire sprinkler and firefighting piping layouts Familiar with NFPA standards and UAE Civil Defense requirements Knowledge of fire pump room layouts, hose reel placements, and riser diagrams Electrical Experienced in drafting electrical layouts including lighting, power, and low-current systems Basic understanding of load schedules, SLDs, and cable routing Familiarity with DEWA regulations and submission documentation Lighting calculation experience (Dialux or similar) is an advantage General / BIM & Coordination Proficient in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit MEP for 3D coordination Skilled in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings Strong attention to detail, quality control, and clash detection Collaborative team player with effective communication and documentation skills START DATE As soon as possible SALARY AED 4,000 - 8,000 per month tax free BENEFITS Health insurance One economy flight per annum 30 days' paid annual leave Please check your email inbox—and your junk folder—in case our reply to your application is filtered there.
