Employment Support Specialist Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Employment Support Specialist. In this role, you will connect individuals with disabilities to employment opportunities by promoting services and building strong community relationships.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Prospecting caseloads and client support, guiding prospective clients through eligibility and providing ongoing support and follow-up. Maintaining accurate records in JobReady, documenting interactions and tracking progress.
* Community and employer engagement, representing the organization at job fairs, expos, and employment events to promote services and attract clients. Proactively engaging employers and clients through in-house initiatives when external events are limited.
* Social and community supports, facilitating access to social support services such as food banks, medical centers, and allied health providers. Building and maintaining strong relationships with service providers to ensure timely and appropriate client support.
Requirements
* A passion for inclusive employment and a genuine commitment to empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds.
* Relevant experience in employment services, community engagement, recruitment, or workforce development.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills – working with people from all walks of life.
* Proven ability to build relationships with job seekers, employers, and community stakeholders.
* Adaptability and initiative – working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where innovation is encouraged.
* Understanding of local labor markets and barriers to employment in regional communities.
* A current driver's license and the ability to travel locally as required.
