We're looking for a Chef de Partie with a passion for presentation, dedication to flavour and commitment to setting high standards from workspace to table and beyond. As Chef De Partie, you'll work closely with the Sous Chef to support and guide daily kitchen operations while preparing exceptional dishes. You'll play a key part in ensuring food quality, maintaining kitchen organisation, and managing inventory, all while upholding our high standards to keep the kitchen running seamlessly every day.
Key responsibilities
* Crafting dishes to a five-star standard for the restaurant and in‐room dining offering.
* Taking ownership of your workstation – managing supplies, equipment, and minimising waste.
* Leading and supporting your kitchen team while coordinating seamlessly with other departments.
* Developing and coaching junior chefs, recognising great performance and nurturing talent.
* Creating and testing new menu items while upholding impeccable hygiene and safety standards.
* Managing stock control, ensuring cost efficiency, and complying with all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
* Similar experience in a commercial kitchen, ideally in a hotel environment.
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a chef; supervisory experience is an advantage.
* Right to legally work full time in Australia.
* Qualifications in Commercial Cookery/Culinary Arts.
* Food safety Certification.
* Great communication – you'll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to.
* Flexibility – night, weekend and public holiday shifts are part of the job.
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment and prioritise workload.
