**The Role**
An exciting opportunity is on offer for an Assistant Director of Nursing to provide leadership and direction to the clinical service to complement the strategic direction, operational processes, budget and business direction in one of the largest providers of endoscopy services within Victoria.
**Position Expectations**
- Provide operational direction for all clinical services, incorporating perioperative, surgical, anaesthetics/PACU and sterilising services to ensure efficient and effective management of the area and coordinate the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based
- Work collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Managers of each area to achieve the strategic goals of the organisation
- Be accountable and responsible for the effective management of human, financial and material resources and ensure customer service is maintained at optimal levels
- Experience in marketing and business development and participate in the marketing initiates to promote growth and ensure market share is managed and business development opportunities are identified and effectively converted into new business.
- Work as part of the health care team, adhere to site policies and procedures, participate in working parties or committees (as required) demonstrate a commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement through National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards (NSQHS), Workplace Health and Safety and achievement of hospital and facility accreditation
- Take an active role in the management of WHS issues pertaining to the unit to ensure safe work environment and safe practice for staff
**Qualifications Sought**
- Registered Nurse with current registration - Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Post graduate qualification in Critical Care or Perioperative nursing and/or management
**Ideal Skills**
- Human Resources Management experience of 3 years' minimum
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Critical Care or Perioperative Services senior management
- Experience working in a Private Day Hospital with multiple locations
- Ability to develop business plans, develop policy and successfully manage annual budgets, attainment of budgetary targets and key performance indicators
- Possess excellent written and personal communication skills
- Demonstrate professionalism, respect and consideration for all staff across all disciplines whilst gaining the trust and confidence of others
- Have a customer centric mindset with excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of Australian College of Operating Room Nurses Standards (ACORN), accreditation, Quality and Risk
