About the Team
Communities at Work is Canberra's largest Early Education and Care provider, operating numerous Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) services across Canberra. These services provide before and after school care, and school holiday programs. Our services focus on children. We place each child at the center of our practice and deliver high-quality programs to foster children's emotional well‑being, social skills, communication and confidence.
About the Role
Under the guidance of the Program Coordinator, provide a high level of assistance in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of the Out of School Hours Care Program in line with the National Quality Framework.
Provide a high level of assistance to the Program Coordinator, and when needed lead the Out of School Hours Care service delivery.
Act as a Responsible Person as required.
Promote knowledge of and guide the contemporary best practice in working with children.
Contribute to the development and documentation of meaningful learning and experiences for children within the program.
Anticipate and be responsive to changes in client needs, manage client expectations and provide a courteous and professional service to clients.
Compliance with Mandatory Reporting, Reportable Conduct, and reporting requirements under the National Quality Framework.
Other duties as directed.
About You
Maintain current "Working With Vulnerable People" registration.
Completed the equivalent of at least one year full‑time study in a diploma or degree course, or other approved qualification as defined by ACECQA.
One year of experience working with children over preschool age.
Good understanding of the National Quality Framework.
First Aid Certificate.
Current Driver's License.
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
Allergy Awareness Training.
