Are you a bookkeeping expert seeking a contract role with variety and work-life balance? We have an exciting opportunity for a remote bookkeeper to join our team.
This contract position involves undertaking various tasks for multiple clients, including data entry, bank reconciliations, payroll, BAS, and IAS. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, setting up clients on Xero, converting their accounts, and providing training as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer service ethic. Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience is essential, with a minimum of Cert IV in Bookkeeping & Accounting required. Registration as a BAS Agent is advantageous, while Xero qualifications are beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
* Full end-to-end bookkeeping function including data entry, bank reconciliations, payroll, BAS, and IAS
* Client setup on Xero, conversions, and training as required
* Managing client relationships
Required Skills & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:
* Registered BAS Agent (advantageous)
* Cert IV in Bookkeeping & Accounting (minimum)
* Previous bookkeeping/accounting experience (essential)
* Xero qualifications (beneficial)
* Comfortable using new technology
* Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and customer service ethic
