As a Service Desk Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for technical support queries. You’ll assist in diagnosing and resolving software, hardware, and network issues, ensuring a seamless experience for our users.
* Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software, hardware, and networking.
* Escalate complex problems to senior engineers when necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
* Communicate effectively with customers to guide them through solutions.
Your Profile
* A keen interest in computers and the tech industry.
* Experience in front-facing customer service - doesn’t have to be IT or tech support!
* Excellent communication skills both verbal & written.
* Able to provide 1st level troubleshooting and problem analysis for client operation systems
* Capable of utilizing remote access software (e.g. Remote Desktop) to remotely control desktops
* Understands backup and restore processes
* Can verify connectivity within a network, understands TCP/IP and familiar with infrastructure services (eg DNS, DHCP)
* Ability to work and participate in team discussions and activities
* Able to identify and resolve incidents in a logical manner
Please note, to be considered for this role you must be located in Australia with full working rights due to our clients requirements.
This role will see you working full-time on our client site 5 days per week with some extra roster hours (to be discussed during interviews).
