As the Senior Finance Officer, you will directly report to the CEO & GM and operate within a dynamic role with a passionate team.
About the Role
* Drive financial improvements, cost saving initiatives and deliver on projects that improve and protect profitability.
* Provide forecasting analysis, make recommendations on purchase quantities for seasonal indent orders, forecast preliminary purchase of fabric and materials ahead of key collections.
* Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
* Deliver accurate and timely payment of agent commissions.
* Monitor and control expenses to align with budgetary goals and provide variance analysis.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements.
* Prepare, calculate and analyse COGs reports, revenue
* Deliver monthly and quarterly P&L statements with supporting MoM, YoY and Forecasting data - providing recommendations, concerns and flagging potential issues and solutions to ensure positive financial performance of the business.
* Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and accounting standards to ensure the company's adherence to relevant guidelines.
* Provide strong and impactful commercial and strategic input as well as delivering expense and budget management across all departments.
Your Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in accounting - experience in e-commerce and/or wholesale business is desirable.
* Familiarity with Xero.
* Proficiency in financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
* Comfortable with a high level of visibility, accountability and high performance.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
* Strategic thinker with a proven track record of improving the bottom line and seeing opportunities and improvements.
