About the role
The overall purpose of the Learning & Development Specialist - Children, Youth & Families is to deliver frontline, practice‐focused learning and development services that build workforce capability and support high‐quality outcomes for children, young people and families. This role is predominantly training delivery focused, with a minimum of 70% of time spent delivering face‐to‐face training to CYF staff across multiple service locations. It requires regular travel across South East Queensland and the ability to work flexibly in operational environments. This is a full‐time position working 76 hours per fortnight based either in our Eight Mile Plains or Maroochydore office, with regular travel across all service locations.
Responsibilities
* Deliver end‐to‐end learning and development services, including program design, facilitation, evaluation and continuous improvement.
* Implement blended learning approaches where appropriate, with face‐to‐face delivery as the primary modality.
* Deliver training that supports compliance with legislative, funding and organisational requirements.
* Use subject matter expertise in child protection, trauma‐informed practice and community services to inform learning design and delivery.
* Work in close partnership with CYF leaders and service teams to identify capability needs and align learning solutions to operational priorities.
* Deliver the CYF learning and development plan and training calendar across service locations.
* Conduct learning needs analyses and capability assessments to inform targeted training interventions.
* Provide expert advice to leaders on learning strategies, methodologies and workforce capability development.
* Ensure learning outcomes are evaluated and reported to demonstrate impact and return on investment.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of learning frameworks, systems and delivery approaches.
* Maintain accurate learning records, reporting and compliance documentation.
* Model Anglicare Southern Queensland values and professional practice standards.
* Stay updated with sector trends, best practices and emerging learning methodologies in child, youth and family services.
Qualifications, Credentials and Other Requirements
* A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Degree in Behavioural or Human Services, Education, Training or related field) and current professional registration.
* Current Queensland Driver's Licence with own reliable vehicle (preferred).
* Current Blue Card.
* Current Licensed Care Service (LCS).
* Ability to travel as required to designated service delivery areas across Queensland.
* Demonstrated operational experience in child, youth and family services.
* Strong facilitation, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Train the Trainer certification (desired).
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) (desired).
