Role
Role Purpose
The Earth Ed AV, Graphics & Technology Officer supports the delivery, visibility, and ongoing development of the Earth Ed Centre through audio-visual production, graphic design, digital content, and technology support. The role enhances the Centre¿s physical and digital presence, supports on-site and remote programs, and provides reliable level 1 technical assistance aligned with organisational priorities, branding, security, and privacy requirements.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Audio Visual & Media Production
* Support the planning, setup, and delivery of audio-visual systems for onsite and remote programs
* Operate and maintain cameras, audio equipment, streaming, and recording systems
* Support live streaming and hybrid delivery of programs
* Use and manage video production and streaming platforms
* Experience with vMix and Blackmagic Design equipment is highly desirable
* Assist with post-production, editing, and content preparation as required
Graphic Design & Digital Content
* Create and maintain visual and digital content aligned with the Centre¿s branding and design standards
* Apply sound design practices across digital, print, and media outputs
* Support promotional, educational, and program-related materials
* Contribute to enhancing the Centre¿s public profile and engagement through high-quality visuals and content
Website & Online Presence
* Maintain and update the Centre¿s website
* Implement content updates, media, and design changes that align with branding
* Experience with WordPress is highly desirable
* Ensure website content remains current, accessible, and fit for purpose
Technology & IT Support
* Provide Level 1 IT support for devices and systems used within the Centre
* Support the upkeep, configuration, and troubleshooting of devices
* Experience with device management platforms such as Mosyle is desirable
* Escalate or consult on IT-related matters in line with reporting arrangements
* Apply basic to moderate technical expertise to resolve issues efficiently
Networking & Systems
* Demonstrate a basic understanding of networking concepts, including connectivity, devices, and troubleshooting
* Assist in identifying and resolving common technical and system issues as they arise
Program Development & Innovation
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of Earth Ed programs
* Provide supporting documentation, guides, and resources for staff and participants
* Identify and propose innovative technology, AV, or digital solutions that support learning, engagement, and operational efficiency
Security, Privacy & Professional Practice
* Work in a security-conscious manner
* Adhere to all privacy, data protection, and information security requirements
* Apply appropriate access controls and responsible handling of data and media
* Follow organisational policies and procedures
Strategic Alignment
* Align work practices and initiatives with the strategic direction of the Earth Ed Centre

Skills & Experience
* Experience in audio-visual production and support
* Knowledge of graphic design principles and digital content creation
* Experience with video recording, streaming, and live production
* Familiarity with vMix and Blackmagic equipment (preferred)
* WordPress website experience (preferred)
* Level 1 IT support experience in a small to medium environment
* Basic networking knowledge
* Strong documentation and communication skills
* Ability to work independently while following governance and approval processes
