Sutton Farms is a family-owned and operated fresh produce business based in the Lockyer Valley. We specialize in growing high-quality tomatoes, spring onions, lettuce, wombok, and other small crops year-round, delivering fresh produce to our customers nearly every day.
With approximately 900 acres of cultivated land across multiple sites in the Lockyer Valley and Darling Downs, we supply all major central markets along the east coast and leading supermarket chains, making our produce available in most states of Australia.
Our diverse team of over 150 comes from various backgrounds and nationalities, all working together to bring fresh, locally grown produce to Australian tables.

The Role
Sutton Farms has truck driving positions available in the Lockyer Valley Region.
Main duties for this position will be:
* Move equipment and produce between our farms in the Lockyer Valley
* Forklift work in loading and unloading produce
* Secondary responsibilities helping on the farm when truck work is quiet
This position requires a HR or HC Driver Licence and a Forklift Licence. Other preferred experience and skills include:
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role
* Refrigerated transport
* General maintenance of truck, trailer and farm equipment
* Ability to work autonomously
* Punctuality and task prioritisation
* Acute attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to use computers and hand held devices (eg iPad)
* Carry out tasks in a safe manner and promote a safe work culture
There is also an opportunity for an appropriate candidate to do deliveries of produce to Brisbane Markets and chain store DCs (Aldi, Coles, Woolworths).
Trucks driven will be a 2021 DAF CF530 6x4 Prime Mover (very low kms) and a 1997 flat bed Isuzu FRR550.
Remuneration will be as per the appropriate skill level of the applicant and will be discussed further at the interview.
