What you will be doing
• Work collaboratively with the local Area Manager/Manager to lead and deliver holistic, place-based and trauma-informed occupational therapy services.
• Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment, expertise and advice for customers requiring home modifications, transfers, tenancy management or housing assistance.
• Work closely with allied health or other service partners to flexibly deliver services to customers on-line, by telephone or in person with a focus on safety, service excellence and quality outcomes.
• Contribute to the design and review of new accessible social housing properties.
• Provide a consultative service to Department staff and other agencies about the housing needs of customers who have a disability, long-term health condition or who are ageing.
• Provide leadership by modelling and fostering professionalism, accountability and ethical behaviour.
• Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning workplace health and safety are applied and a part of dayto-day operations.
• Prepare and maintain high quality reports and customer records consistent with departmental and professional requirements.
• Contribute to professional development, research, team planning and decisionmaking and the continuous improvement of policies and practices.
• Have the opportunity to supervise students and mentor new staff.

Mandatory Requirements
• Class C Driver's Licence
• Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised tertiary institution and be registered or eligible for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
• Flexibility to travel in Queensland is desirable.
