Job Description:
A key objective of this role is to work with stakeholders across multiple business units to elicit, document, and analyze business and technical requirements. This includes building and maintaining strong relationships with both business and technical teams to identify, document, and resolve issues.
The ideal candidate will perform system mapping and gap analysis between existing systems and future state requirements to determine viable solutions. They will also facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions to ensure clear alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
This Business Analyst will apply analytical rigor to investigate operational challenges and opportunities, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
They will manage requirements scope to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and aligned with organizational priorities through effective facilitation between business and IT.
The role involves authoring and updating internal and external documentation, including business cases, user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and gap analysis reports.
The successful candidate will ensure all specifications are clear, concise, and robust, addressing business, data, and integration needs.
Prior experience working in government is highly desirable. A current police check that is less than three months old or the ability to obtain one within 5 days is also required.
