Automation / Industrial Electrician
Location: Mascot, NSW
Permanent | $52-$57 per hour + super | 5 weeks annual leave
We are currently seeking Automation / Industrial Electricians to join a large, well-established operation within a cargo terminal and automated materials-handling environment. This is a full-time, permanent position offering strong hourly rates, roster loadings, and long-term career stability.
The role is primarily based in Mascot.
Roster & Benefits
* Monday to Friday roster (initial arrangement):
o Week 1: 6:00am - 3:00pm
o Week 2: 3:30pm - 10:30pm (afternoon shift loading applies)
* On-call Saturdays (paid if required - call-outs are very rare)
* 5 weeks annual leave
* Competitive hourly rate: $52-$57/hr + super + loading + on call OT
* Roster loadings apply
* Planned future transition to a 24/7 4 on / 4 off rotating roster (to be confirmed)
Key Responsibilities
* Electrical maintenance and installation of heavy-duty machinery and automated systems
* Electrical fault finding and diagnostics on plant and equipment
* Working with PLC-controlled systems
* Reading and interpreting electrical and design schematics
* Supporting equipment installation, testing, commissioning and site coordination
* Ensuring all electrical work complies with AS/NZS 3000 Electrical Installations
* Contributing to a safe, compliant and high-performing site environment
About You
* Trade-qualified Electrician
* Certificate IV qualification (essential)
* Proven experience working with PLC-controlled systems
* Background in automation, intralogistics, manufacturing or heavy industrial environments preferred
* Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
* High regard for safety and compliance
Pre-Employment Requirements
* Ability to pass Federal Police Checks
* Ability to obtain an ASIC card
* Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol testing
* Valid Australian work rights required
