Stand-alone Payroll Manager / Senior Payroll Officer Role

About the Opportunity
A challenging and rewarding role with a growing organisation is available for an experienced Payroll professional.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the payroll function and provide timely information to internal stakeholders.
* Ensure accurate preparation of pay runs are completed within required timeframes.
* Manage payroll reconciliation, month-end & year-end reporting.
* Assist the finance team with budgeting & forecasting.
* Interpret various employment agreements and awards to ensure legislative compliance.
* Prepare and process workers' compensation reports.
* Complete statutory reporting for Workcover, ATO, and ABS.
* Review and improve payroll processes and procedures as needed.
* Manage projects including system upgrades for the payroll department.
* Maintain all payroll information and records in accordance with statutory requirements.
* Support internal and external audits related to payroll.
* Collaborate with HR on preparing contracts and onboarding, as well as other administrative tasks.
Your Skills and Experience
* Proven track record in payroll management with strong technical understanding of payroll processes and relevant legislation.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with other departments.
* Proactive attitude and passion for process improvement and projects.
* Previous experience in system integration or system upgrades.
