Overview
As a seasoned Construction Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality work within defined timelines and budgets. This is a full-time position based in Moranbah.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and supervise construction activities, including managing teams of workers, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
* Liaise with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns that arise during the construction process.
* Develop and implement efficient work schedules, allocate resources, and optimise workflow to maximise productivity.
* Provide guidance and support to construction workers, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Identify and address any training needs or skill gaps within the team, and work with the management team to implement appropriate solutions.
* Maintain detailed records, including progress reports, timesheets, and cost-control data.
* Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, strategies, and budgets.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
* Significant experience (5+ years) as a Supervisor or Foreperson in the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and equipment, as well as relevant safety regulations and quality standards.
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
* Demonstrated experience in resource planning, scheduling, and cost management.
