The Position:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate General Manager to lead operations at our Mitchell House home in Morwell, Victoria. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, staffing, and related matters across the home. The role ensures that all professional care and support services are delivered in line with Respect’s values, policies, and procedures, while ensuring the home operates within the approved budget and meets accreditation, compliance, and reporting requirements.
The successful candidate will be well supported by Respect’s centralised corporate services team, including specialists in clinical care, quality, finance, people and culture, procurement, maintenance, and catering.

Requirements:
* A recognised Bachelor Degree in Nursing (Registered Nurse)
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* At least three years of leadership experience in residential aged care
* Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, Specified Care and Service Principles of the Aged Care Act, documentation standards, residents’ rights, the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI), and other relevant legislation and codes of practice
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong clinical knowledge and contemporary practice skills
* Current National Police Certificate (or the ability to obtain)
* Previous experience in a nursing management role
