Job Description
Our client, US TRUSS, is a specialist in timber trusses and wall frame manufacturing, operating out of Dandenong South, Victoria. With over 20? years of experience in the housing industry, they combine skilled tradespeople, modern equipment, and up-to-date design software to deliver reliable structural framing solutions.
They are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified two (2) Civil Engineer to join their team. This position will provide engineering design, calculations, and site inspection across building development projects. The successful candidates will have a 'can-do' attitude and possess strong communication skills to adequately communicate with the team and Managers.
The offered annual salary for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation. Duties include:
Responsibilities
* Design, plan, draft, and inspect civil engineering projects during construction.
* Provide an appropriate certificate after inspection of the job, if satisfactory.
* Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
* Ensure conformance to design specifications.
* Study engineering drawings and specifications.
* Prepare technical deliverables including proposals, reports and construction documentation.
* Determine construction methods, materials and quality standards, and draft and interpret specifications, drawings and plans.
* Liaise with internal and external clients and various local government authorities.
* Work well with other team members.
* Direct engineering activities, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations.
Qualifications
* Should possess a relevant degree.
* Must have at least one (1) year of experience in a similar setting.
* Should have excellent English communication skills.
* Should be competent in IT skills using Microsoft Word, Excel.
* Must have the ability to manage multiple projects and goals at the same time, whilst working autonomously.
