While we have over 80 staff located across Australia, Asia, United States and Europe. This role is based in our headquarters in Frenchs Forest, Sydney. Our team here works from Monday to Friday so that we can ride bikes on the weekend
**What You'll Do**
The Bikes Online Head of Marketing is a strategic and leadership role responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing all marketing initiatives in the retail business to drive revenue, customer acquisition, and brand awareness. This position plays a crucial role in achieving the company's growth objectives and maintaining a competitive edge in the dynamic online marketplace.
The Head of Marketing plays a vital role in shaping the e-commerce business's success through innovative marketing strategy, customer-focused campaigns, and effective team leadership. The position requires a dynamic individual who can adapt to the rapidly evolving digital landscape and drive the company's marketing efforts to achieve sustainable growth and long-term success.
The role leads marketing professionals in both the Australian and US markets, while reporting directly to the Global Chief Operating Officer. The role requires collaboration with Global Brand Marketing colleagues, leveraging BikesOnline's resources to drive sales around global product launches. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the overall business objectives. Analyze market trends, customer insights and media channels, identifying marketing opportunities & priorities.
- E-commerce Platform Optimization: Collaborate with the technology team to streamline customer experience and improve conversion of traffic driven by marketing campaigns into sales.
- Brand Management: Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning for BikesOnline across all marketing channels. Develop and enforce brand guidelines to maintain brand identity & recognition.
- Customer Acquisition and Retention: Develop and execute strategies to acquire new customers and increase customer retention. Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities to improve customer lifetime value and reduce churn.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize data analytics to track marketing performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and marketing ROI to the executive team.
- Partnerships and Influencer Marketing: Collaborate with relevant partners and influencers to expand brand reach and drive customer engagement.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve marketing objectives within financial constraints.
- Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive advantage. Conduct market research to identify customer needs and preferences.
- Campaign Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and measurement of marketing campaigns across various channels, ensuring they are on time, on budget, and deliver the desired results.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as Sales, Category Management, Merchandising, Product Development, and Customer Service to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives & stock availability.
- Lead and coach a team, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations to team members, setting clear goals and objectives to drive performance and professional development.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency measures to optimise workflows and productivity, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
- Prepare and manage budgets ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently and in line with organisational objectives.
- Demonstrate sound judgement in complex situations, balancing risks and benefits.
- Foster open communication and collaboration within the team and across departments to ensure the seamless flow of information and ideas.
- Guide the team through periods of change, providing support and clarity to navigate transitions effectively.
